  • "retales: closing" What I see: retail is closing

  • I worked retail and mostly closing shifts. Those absolute, last-minute customers were the bane of your existence. We once had a woman go into the fitting room and refuse to leave. We eventually had to have security escort her out.

  • The amount of times I get dragged overtime because I had to help a customer until 9:10 !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who is watching all of domics videos

  • Handy cap u know u know

  • Dog approved

  • I started my retail job about a month ago and one night we were closing and about to leave. All the lights are off, the drawers were closed and ready for tomorrow and somehow we forgot to lock the door and these three teenagers were asking to make a quick purchase. Bro, all the lights are off and we're about to set the alarm....even at my last job as a barista we've had people come in like 20 mins after closing and asking for a free drink. Wtf. What is a business if we just gave you shit for free?

  • I work in a small little ice cream place and I would hate when people would bring like 6 kids at the register and they have no idea what they want

  • I remember watching this back at the beginning of hs and now that i also have a side job in retail (while at uni) i can FINALLY entirely relate to your struggles :')

  • The title alone gives me anxiety

  • Customers arent always right.

  • There is probably a guy that waits for the store to almost close and will be a piece of shit.

  • I work as a bagger in a grocery store, when we’re locking the doors this guy yells at us and says were not closed...except we close at 9pm and its 9:05. He was like ya’ll arent managers so I wont listen to you a manager tells him we’re closed and he says too bad

  • I watched this on the way to my first retail job haha

  • My favorite part: 2:10

  • I laughed so hard I farted like 7 times

  • boblazar

  • I worked in some kind of customer service line, it's whatever. There was a GUY who kept on calling the last minute just to ask when we are open the next day. REALLY?! When those calls started repeating themselves, I just ignored them. Whoever you are, I won't stay extra minutes chatting to you about our working hours you can check with a few clicks online. (I figured he was probably trolling us anyway after some time) Oh and it was always on Fridays (we worked Monday-Friday). And one more thing. Shops ALWAYS have light on even when closed. Why is that surprising to people?! I have gone past shops way past their closing with lights on all the time.

  • That's so relatable I remember sometimes I would cleaning up and I would get someone trying to order as when we closed

  • So at the cafe I work in, usually one person is working the whole day or per shift. If someone else is with you, one of us would (or used to, I just pop it in my trunk after we lock up and drive to the dumpster) take out the trash while someone else stays in the LOCKED building. We also turn off the main lights and sign so people wouldn't attempt to come in. While I was walking back from the dumpster one time, this person ran from their car to me and asked if we were still open (I was wearing our cafe hat). Bro it was 15 past closing. "But we drove 30 minutes to get here!!" Then I hope you enjoy the ride back.

  • Some customers are so dumb. Last night this lady came right after closing and clearly we have a fucking sign that says our hours but she was too stupid to understand why the doors were closed. So she started knocking on the door, waving her hands do the door would open. She looks over at me and my coworkers who are clearly getting ready to leave. She then tries to FORCE AND PRESS the fucking locked door open! Like the doors were locked, the lights were off and the only people in the store were my and my coworkers and my manager. That should give you a sign that we're fucking closed.

  • 2:19 boiii he thicc

  • The customers always right When they agree with you

  • I HATE when people come into my workplace 5 mins before we close like DO YOU NEED ICE CREAM AND BOBA AT 10PM!?!? The only time ive ever done that was to go to vans and literally buy shoelaces lol it's just funny he used that as a good example. Also never understood why people don't ask for help or get the help either like if you're confused, why waste time walking stupidly in a store looking for what you need when the workers most likely know where it is??

    • I can answer that. I just don't like talking to other people and ask them for help. Not to mention those who immediately ask you if you want something the second you come in. Sometimes we REALLY just want to watch and check something (that we maybe end up buying next time). If I'm searching for a specific product and can't find it, I do ask them for help though. Oh, and I never do this in the last minute.

  • I saw Kyle in da back OWO

  • 1:49 i felt that as a retail worker...

  • too fucking accurate

  • Plite of a worker...

  • I work in produce at our grocery store and people are constantly coming in within the LAST 10 MINUTES WE ARE OPEN and proceed to shop WELL AFTER WE HAVE CLOSED AND ARE TOLD WE ARE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!

  • Omg no sponsorship wow

  • Omg the emotionless shake of the head got me 😂😂

  • Sir may i interest you in a new product of ours ? *Its a map to the exit.*

  • ‘‘Tis is similar to James soob way closing time story

  • I thought this was now supposed to be during the pandemic

  • Agree with the get the hell out by 8pm

  • As someone with experience I get all of em but that last one is a bit (just a tiny bit) unfair. You're supposed to clean up (part of the job). Unless there is a sign that says customers are obligated to do so. As an employee I feel your pain, but as a customer... 9PM is 9PM

  • I know how you feel. I used to work for retail too.

  • 1:36 I couldn't stop laughing

  • 2:23 look at the date on the cheque

  • Honestly I hate to go to a store just within the last 30 minutes before they close, even though if I do it’s usually something small for a project or a dish I’m working on, or even just a quick snack. However that last hour is usually important to the store as they use that time to straighten up for the morning shift and clean up before turning the lights off and locking the doors.

  • Like teachers when the bell goes. "tHe bElL dOeS nOt DiSmEsS yOu, I dO!"

  • I worked all day Sunday at a Tesco and since I'm under 18 I was classed as a young worker so when it came to me finishing and it's closing say 5 minutes before we closed my till would be closed so I could shut it down and clock out on time one time this couple came up with a full trolly not like a few thing no a full trolly and started loading their stuff onto my till I said I'm sorry but my till is closed you'll have to use a different one at this point I already had all the money out the till and was putting it into a bag thing and they were like can't you just check us through my till had a sign at the end saying it was close the barrier was up but they were still like can you check us out. No I can't my shit ends in like a minute and I still gotta finish up and clock out. There were a couple other tills still open that they could've gone to but they went to the one that was very obviously closed

  • Domics senpai Notice me please.

  • Dude he sounds like Kermit half the video

  • When the store is closed I'd be pissed and go back home until the next day where I'd be late again and be pissed again because I'm too dumb with time

  • Есть кто русский?

  • I would love it if someone turned off all the lights in the sales floor the minute we close just to annoy all those horrible customers who ignore the closing announcements.

  • Sir may I interest you in our new product, here it’s a map to the exit.

  • *5:27* the best part

  • there is a great way to solve this. in a store I used to work we just close the cashiers at the end of our shift so even if a customer stays in, he's got nothing to do because he can't buy anything.

  • The annotation doesn't work

  • When u work in retail but sales mean commission, you want to yell ur lungs out at all those late comer but can't.. it hurt

  • When domics says the same sentence for to long and you be like “...”

  • my GOD I have never related to a video more I curse every person that has no proper sense of time when it comes to retail

  • Domics ah sh*t were go agin

  • I hate people who see retale workers as their little slaves and don’t seem to think that they also have lives

  • This made me laugh harder than it was supposed to

  • This whole video was so triggering my god

  • *"Looks like you're going to the shadow realm, Jimbo."*

  • Pahhhhhnnnnnnghhanyyyyyyybahhhahahahahnhnhnhnhnhhhhhhhhhhhhhhn

  • just go to walmart

  • even if it’s the last hour before closing, i don’t enter stores, not because i don’t have time but bc of the anxiety it gives to the employees

  • Leave a like on this comment if you are watching this in 2020

  • Where can I find that video how do you process your animation?

  • Those 1k dislikes are all Karens

  • I’m watching this and commenting this on 1% battery.

  • Did anyone else see that the paycheck is dated April 20th 2016.

  • I've had a guy start walking from his car to the store, and someone informed him that we close at 9. He then said it's only 8:58, and our manager was standing at the door because he doesn't deal with people coming in last minute. So the manager told them that they were closed, and the guy tried to argue with the manager, and he said "get the fuck outta here and go home".

  • Yay I did

  • We close the store at 9, its annoying that there's still people at the store and everyone is done what they are doing and we can't clock off because of that one person😑😑😑 I close the fitting at 8:45 p.m. and to block off the fitting room I use the rack. I go clean the other half of the fitting room and go into the back to take the trash out/clean the restroom. I annoys me that when all the fitting rooms are clean and a customer decided to move the rack to try on clothes. I don't mind if it's 1 or even 3 but she had a lot of clothes and she ask my manager. Other customer would surely do the same and I'm just there saying great😑😑😑 People are messy they'll leave clothes behind and rip their hair off I don't understand how the hell they manage to make a mess

  • I did heys as bich

  • You go oh anima

  • 2:14 The shadow realm!!! Yu-gi-oh anyone?

  • I need a job for money but this makes me not want money anymore

  • OOF

  • 1:10 the answer to that is (drumroll) idk something to do with being manly or something

  • Hey sonics do u have a discord

  • 1:35 😂

  • 50 dollars is 50 dollars you can buy a huge lolipop..

  • Husband and I won't go to a fast food restaurant unless there are at least thirty minutes before close and for retail, we make sure there is an hour.

  • Too relatable Last week this happened to me: I was waiting to finally close my register, after a long day. We close our shop at 8:00 pm. I checked to see if anyone was still inside, and Noone was in. Then when I return to the cash register at 7:55, I see an obiese man, and his wife, walk in like they own the place. I inform them - politely mind you - that we are closing soon. It was 8:15 pm when they finally got to my register, with full cart of stuff, proceed to put stuff on slow as snail climbing up malasis on pluto, and then, when I fianly got through everything, the woman was like: "um, actually I forgot something" Before I could even respond, she rushes to the fruit section, spends - I kind you not - 10 minutes there, before returning with 2 different fruit bags. At this point I was on the virge of erupting in blind rage. I scanned the first bag - lemons I think - when she asks me: "so how much is that". I responded: "54 cents". And that dun Brod replies: "um, yeah I'm not buying them" and prance out of the shop, like that spoiled brat of a classmate you Alwais hated. I'm suppose to finish my job, and leave by 8:30 pm. IT WAS 9:30 PM WHEN I FINALY LEFT!!!

    • @MEDIA THING I wasn't exactly whining I was just stating example I experienced If it came off as whining, that wasn't my intention

    • @MEDIA THING what kind of store you work in? Mine is local shop, and not shopping center Also that "boo hoo" part was unnecessary

    • @MEDIA THING was that because of a customer, or was that your regular work time?

  • 1000 butt hurt motherfuckers that come 5 mins before closing, disliked this video

  • Sup y'all retail workers 👊🙂

  • stay strong retail buddies

  • 12:00:00

  • This shit reminds me of when I worked Target. 😭 To my sisters, brethren and my none gender variant friends, you have my sympathy.
